Here is the tool you need for pulling the cam gear on the Ford 4.9 (300 CI straight six). I have the shaft protector as well and including a grade 8 bolt. I can’t remember what it was for but maybe for installing the new cam gear onto the cam. I don’t have the truck anymore and I forgot to include it when I sold it so it’s just been sitting here.
