The bits are pressed directly into the socket for a permanent connection. The socket is made from 6140 chromium-vanadium (Cr-V) steel that’s heat-treated to 40.5-47.5 HRC. Large, stamped markings are permanently impressed into the material by a roll-stamp die and are as large as possible while still being readable along the socket’s curved surface.
