You are buying a tool that is used to install the factory cast iron shims back into the housing during a differential service or gear change. Only for use with bearing races that have a diameter of 3.062” (such as LM603012). No more hunting for that flat screwdriver or large punch, this tool greatly reduces the chance of cracking the factory shim. You still must ensure that the races are square prior to installing.
